Support for the AACTB Child Centre Terra Boa | The Cape Verde Foundation

Our mission is to create lasting change in Cape Verde through our support for local communities, schools and charity projects alike – that’s why when AACTB asked us for support we were quick to answer.

The AACTB Child Centre is an independent children’s aid project on the Cape Verde island of Sal that combines several projects in one location. The centre collectively looks after 200 children of different ages, and since its creation has been working hard to provide a brighter future for all its attendees. Founded in 2010, AACTB aims to raise children’s living conditions to a decent level, providing access to food, education, water and medical care.

Having worked collaboratively with the centre on occasions before, we were quick to respond to the urgent call for donations, working alongside Meliá Hotels to help as much as we could.

Responding wholeheartedly, MELIÃ Tortuga Beach Resort were able to donate 90 swimming pool towels, 4 portable baby cots, 1 wooden baby cot, 16 pillows, 2 large and 2 small mattresses to ACCTB Children Centre. Also supporting the cause, the team at MELIÃ Llana Beach Resort & Spa were able to donate a further 25 large towels, 30 small towels, 30 pillowcases and 70 sheets in total.

Over the moon with the vast list of items provided, the ladies of the association were extremely grateful for our help and were quick to thank Meliá Hotels and the Foundation for our support.
