On Friday 20th December, school children from across the Island of Sal gathered on Ponta Preta Beach for a day of Christmas celebrations hosted by The Resort Group.

This year, the annual event included a talent show; ‘Little Stars of Sal’ where the children entertained judges (including Santa) with their talents. The competition winners were invited to perform at the Dunas Beach Resort opening party! There were refreshments, games and music on the beach, as well as Santa’s grotto with presents for all the children.
We are delighted the children’s event was a success and pleased to be able to give something positive back to the people of Sal. As part of The Resort Group’s commitment to Cape Verde, our Charity Foundation will continue to support the local people and the community through-out 2014 and beyond.
